📋Overview
Pickle Scorer is a pickleball scorekeeping app. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.
Pickle Scorer itself collects no personal information. The only data stored on your device is your local match count and whether you have submitted an App Store rating — nothing is sent to our servers.
📦Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Device identifiers beyond what third-party SDKs access (see below)
- Location data
- Photos, contacts, or any other sensitive data
- Match scores or game history
Two small values are stored locally on your device via the system's secure preferences storage and are never transmitted:

matches_done— count of completed matches (resets after rating) -
rating_done— flag indicating you have already been asked to rate the app
📢Advertising AdMob
Pickle Scorer displays ads provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use certain information on your device, including:
- Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / AAID on Android)
- Device type, OS version, and language
- Coarse location (IP-based) for ad targeting
- Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)
On iOS, the app presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before any advertising identifier is accessed. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, no advertising identifier is shared with AdMob and only non-personalised ads are shown.

🔊Text-to-Speech
Pickle Scorer uses your device's built-in text-to-speech (TTS) engine to announce scores aloud. Audio is processed entirely on-device; no speech data is sent externally.
🍎App Store Reviews
After three completed matches the app may invite you to leave a rating through Apple's In-App Review API. Rating is entirely optional. No personal data is collected during this process; Apple manages the review submission independently.
🌍European Users & GDPR Consent GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app will display a consent dialog powered by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalised ads are served. You may accept or decline personalised advertising at any time.
Under applicable data protection laws you have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- Withdraw consent to personalised advertising at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

👶Children's Privacy
Pickle Scorer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
